Administration Order

What is an Administration Order?

An Administration Order is a way to deal with debt if you have a County Court or High Court judgment against you and you can’t pay in full.

The debt must be less than £5,000 for you to be eligible for an Administration Order. You make 1 payment a month to your local court.

The court will then divide this money between your creditors. Creditors listed on the Administration Order can’t take any further action against you without the court’s permission.

Who can apply for an Administration Order?

Anyone who:

  • Has at least two debts.
  • Owes under £5,000 in total.
  • Has at least one debt that is a County Court Judgment or Higher Court Judgment against them.
  • Can afford to make regular payments towards their debts – this can be as little as £1 per debt.
